Protecting the Majestic Tigers of Ranthambore
Ranthambore Tiger Reserve is one of the largest and most renowned national parks in Northern India. The park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan. It was declared one of the Project Tiger reserves in 1973 and became a National Park in 1980. Ranthambore is known for its Bengal tiger population and is considered one of the best places in India to see these majestic predators in their natural habitat.
The reserve spans over 1,334 sq km and is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including leopards, hyenas, wild cats, and numerous bird species. The landscape includes dry deciduous forests, open grasslands, and rocky terrain.
